We were greeted by a challenging slope, barren and steep, nestled against a beautiful residence in Sandy, Utah. The task was set: transform this bare hillside into a functional and inviting landscape feature. The primary goal was to provide a stable and aesthetically pleasing solution to the eroding slope next to our client's home. We began by meticulously planning the layout that would not only stabilize the land but seamlessly integrate with the surrounding natural beauty.
Our team got started by installing a robust stone retaining wall as the backbone of the project. This critical structure was designed to prevent erosion and support the new layout, ensuring longevity and stability. With this foundation in place, we turned our attention to the intricate task of crafting a stone staircase. Each stone was hand-selected and strategically placed, creating a staircase that now serves as both a functional pathway and a striking visual highlight in the landscape.
Completing the transformation, we added strategically placed decorative boulders and a textured layer of stones around the newly built walls and path. This not only enhanced the overall aesthetic but also tied the project into the natural charm of the surrounding area. The finished space now welcomes guests with a beautiful transition from driveway to backyard, combining utility with elegance. We're proud of how this project turned out, dramatically improving access and appearance, while perfectly matching the client's vision.
